Dry fly sipping brown trout coupled with outstanding service, each day is tailor made to fit the needs of our guests.
Your stay with us starts when we pick you up at the Butte airport, followed by a beautiful drive along the Continental Divide to our Lodge situated on the banks of the Big Hole River. The afternoon is yours to enjoy; prepare your equipment, obtain licenses, get outfitted, have a Troutslayer Ale or take a nap. The day is completed with an exquisite meal in a freestone river setting that is unsurpassed. Trout are often feeding in the channel just feet away from our dining table, bald eagles are often sighted as are deer or moose.
Your days of fishing will start with breakfast to order, meeting your guide and casting instruction, if desired. The day is spent with your guide, floating, and wading ( for guests that want this) and always on a blue ribbon trophy section of water. You picnic lunch is served riverside and the rest of the day can be as long or as short as your guide recommends and you desire. After your day of angling, you can expect first rate pampering and excellent cuisine. Many guests adjourn to the deck to experience crimson sunsets behind the often snowy Goat Peak, while sharing stories of the day.
Although we will be emphasizing on our attention towards excellent service, this does not mean we take our fishing lightly! You will fish with the most experienced guides that have ever haunted the rivers of Montana. Our “gillies” eat, sleep, and breathe fishing, and are intimately familiar with where the trophies live and what they like to eat. This is what our guides do, this is not a short stop between college and the board room, they are the longtime pros.
We keep in mind this is your vacation time and we know how valuable it is. Our job is to provide service and opportunity so your time is spent most enjoyably. Outdoor opportunities other than fishing are available, many guests take a day or1/2 day to hike or enjoy a trip on the scenic byway with their guide. The Big Hole Valley is host to many natural and historic wonders.
